Use a fixture as the unit of comparison
For an AFL final, NRL match or summer cricket session, check the organiser’s fixture and the broadcaster’s listing for your location. A regular-season match, a final and a replay can have different arrangements. Ask support about that exact event and audio feed before paying.
What to look for during the trial
| Test | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Fast camera pan | Watch boundary lines, ball movement and motion blur on your chosen screen. |
| A busy evening | Try while another person uses the home internet. Note any buffering and the time. |
| Commentary and captions | Listen through the audio output you normally use, including a soundbar or headphones. |
| Guide and playback | Confirm that the named channel opens the actual fixture at your local start time. |
If the live stream trails the scores app
App notifications may arrive before the play appears on screen. Streams can take different routes and buffer different amounts. Turn off score alerts for the match if avoiding spoilers matters. Ask about replay access separately instead of assuming a live channel includes catch-up.
